Job Details for Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation:
- Schedule:1st Shift: Monday-Friday traditional business hours 7:30am-4pm / 8-4:30
- Pay Rate: $70,000 - $90,000 + per year based on experience

Job Responsibilities & Description for Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation:
- Summary – Innovation and implementation role driving entire manufacturing process toward higher quality, better efficiency, and more streamlined automated functions
- Lead and oversee automation improvement projects from receipt to final deliverable
- Innovate, design, and implement electromechanical system prototypes
- Utilize design engineering software such as Auto CAD, Master CAM, SolidWorks, LabView, and similar
- Produce, review, and present CAD drawings and blueprints
- Conduct simulation testing and analysis of designed system components
- Prepare and present reports on manufacturing process data with recommendations for improving efficiency, accuracy, and quality
- Research and recommend new equipment and technologies and present with cost benefit analysis
- Materials sourcing – identify and purchase engineering project materials
- Work with Operations, Quality, and Safety Teams to produce written work instructions and SOPs for new systems and procedures
- Support installation, test run, and digital troubleshooting of new machinery and associated software & systems
Job Requirements for Mechanical Design Engineer – Automation:
- Non-negotiable MUST HAVES: 1+ year of work experience in:
- CAD – Computer Aided Design
- Manufacturing automation, mechatronics, or robotics
- Programming PLCs – Programmable Logic Codes and working with power electronics and drives
- Data acquisition and analysis
- Electrical engineering basics
- Must have an Engineering Bachelor’s Degree in: Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Automation, Process Control, Manufacturing Design, or Similar Title
- Experience in ITAR or ISO900 facility preferred
- Precision Machining or CNC Machining experience preferred
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50lbs recommended
- Excellent communication skills and positive attitude
