The General Warehouse Support posion is responsible for order picking and packing, will call order picking and packing, staging of both ship out and will call orders, processing cable cuts, lagging reels, pallezing reels, and boxing cable cuts.
Essential Job Functions of the General Warehouse Associate:
• Responsible for assuring that the Warehouse is cleaned daily (sweeping/daily pickups of all trash on the floor)
• Maintain, sort, and organize merchandise so that it can be easily located in proper bin locaons
• Responsible for picking all orders that come in daily for Talley, Inc. customers
• Assure that product that is being picked for customer orders is 100% accurate
• Responsible for packing all orders that come in daily for Talley Inc customers
• Assure that product that is being packed for customer orders is 100% accurate and protected
• Responsible for picking, packing, and loading/checking out of customer will call orders • Process cable cuts, lagging/boxing of reels/coils, and pallezing reels per customer requirements
• Maintain confidenality of all proprietary informaon as required by the Company.
• Display strong work ethic and honesty and adhere to all company guidelines, policies, and procedures
• Engage work with a high sense of urgency and be highly organized and detail oriented.
• Be open to change and deal calmly and effecvely with high-stress situaons
• Clock in/out accurately and take rest and meal breaks as required per Company Policy
• Work overme as required based on business needs
• Addional job dues and responsibilies can be added at any me
Knowledge, Skill, and Experience:
• Forklift experience is highly desired (will train)
• Ability to li 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for long periods of me and be able to bend and reach overhead
• Ability to work under deadline pressure as organizaon skills are the key to finding and providing merchandise quickly and accurately for customer orders
• Experience using a handheld scanner
• Minimum Educaon required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Enjoy working in a team environment
• One year of warehouse experience
• Ability to read and write in English and understand basic Math skills • Great customer service skills
