PeopleShare is looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with a previous background fixing machines in a production/manufacturing environment.
Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Westampton, NJ 08060
Salary: Direct Hire/Full-time with benefits, pay range is $25-30/hr
Schedule: 1st shift, start time can be 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM
Responsibilities:
The responsibility of the Maintenance Mechanic is to fix broken down machines. Replace hinges, breakers, conveyor belts, bearings and gears, etc.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Assist in diagnosing and fixing issues with food packaging and manufacturing equipment and forklifts.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting equipment to ensure it's in good working order.
- Preventative Maintenance: Implement preventative maintenance programs to minimize breakdowns and extend the lifespan of equipment.
- Installation: Assist with the installation of new equipment or the replacement of parts.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
- Safety: Ensure all work is performed according to safety standards and regulations.
- Inventory: Assist with managing and ordering parts and supplies needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Assistance to Senior Mechanic: Provide support to senior mechanic, following their instructions and assisting with more complex repairs.
- Other Duties: May be assigned other tasks as needed, such as cleaning the shop area or assisting with inventory.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of warehouse experience.
- Ability to perform welding tasks.
- Understanding of safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)
- Familiar with the food industry and food safety and sanitation a plus.
