PeopleShare is seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of general purchasing experience. Working knowledge of construction materials, specifically pipe, fitting, and valves.

Job Responsibilities for Purchasing Agent:
- The Purchasing Agent obtains requirements by verifying, preparing, and forwarding purchase orders; verifies receipt of items; authorizes payment.
- Prepares, verifies, and places purchase orders based on business requirements.
- Monitors a system to maintain inventory levels and availability.
- Resolves issues related to inventory returns, replacements, and credit arrangements.
Job Requirements for Purchasing Agent:
- Two (2) years of general purchasing experience.
- Working knowledge of construction materials, specifically pipe, fittings, and valves, along with general building materials.
- Advanced negotiating and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs, specifically Word and Excel.
