Title: IDMS, Database Administrator
Location: Mechanicsburg, PA 17055
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8 hour days, OR Four (4) 10.5-Hour days - Remote work from home allowed occasionally
Salary: $110-115k/year
Summary:
A mainframe, Computer Associates IDMS, IDMS database expert, Database Administrator, with COBOL programmer is required as full time employee
Critical Previous Experience
- Database Administrator
- IDMS database expert
- COBOL
- Knowledge with IBM mainframes, , IBM Utilities, SQ4016
- Production Support with JCL, Time Sharing Option (TSO)
- Database management sustainment
- Software Compliance and Sustainment
- Production Support and Sustainment
- Coding, testing, and implementing break-fixes for Program Trouble Reports (PTRs)
Required Education & Years of Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science strongly preferred
- Will sponsor training for Security+ Certification, if candidates does not have it.
- Technical Certification preferred in Mainframe
- 10+ Years as Programmer, Coder, Developer, Software
- Remote work from home allowed occasionally
- Secret Security Clearance requires submission of paperwork
Responsibilities
- Software Compliance and Sustainment
- Production Support and Sustainment
- Coding, testing, and implementing break-fixes for Program Trouble Reports (PTRs)
- Database management sustainment
- Ensuring production jobs for applications are set up, scheduled and run successfully
- Recommending software changes needed in ITIMP to support new versions
- Coding and testing ITIMP software changes
- Releasing changes and updates into production within established deadlines for compliance
