As the Production Manager, you will oversee the entire assembly floor, from order entry through manufacturing, invoicing sweepers, and tankers, and purchasing chassis. Your responsibilities will include managing staffing, scheduling, and accurately forecasting purchases and workloads to ensure smooth production operations.
Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain monthly / weekly production schedule.
- Ensure assembly team has a clear understanding of goals and priorities.
- Generate purchase orders for skids, chassis and other supplies as needed.
- Capture all costs for sweepers/tankers built and invoice dealers using QuickBooks.
- Rationalize dealer’s purchase orders and ensure accuracy.
- Coordinate transportation of sweepers/tankers for new and used units.
- Obtain quotes and pricing from vendors for sweeper/tanker options.
- Maintain the highest of quality standards for all units prior to leaving JNA.
- Answer and return dealer inquiries via email or phone.
Qualifications:
The ideal Production Manager will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to plan while remaining adaptable to unexpected challenges.
Key qualifications include:
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and planning.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with the ability to quickly learn other software like QuickBooks.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid passport.
- A background in sales is preferred.
- Solid understanding of costing, margin optimization, and expense control.
