PeopleShare is hiring for a QC/Lab Technician for our client, a reputable chemical manufacturing company based in Newark, DE. This is a contract-to-hire position (not temp) with ample growth opportunity, paid training, and solid benefits when taken on perm.
The QC/Lab Technician will take samples of manufactured chemicals used in water quality testing to mix in additives, take weights, and conduct physical inspections as well as other quality checks using basic laboratory instruments to ensure quality and accuracy of finished products in a production environment.

Details for the QC/Lab Technician:
- Pay Rate: $21-23/hr to start
- Schedule: 1st Shift: 2/2/3 Schedule, 2 week Rotation 6:30am-6:45pm
- Week 1: off Mon/Tues, on Weds/Thurs, off Fri/Sat/Sun
- Week 2: on Mon/Tues, off Weds/Thurs, on Fri/Sat/Sun (20 hours of OT on this week!!!)

Job Responsibilities & Description for the QC/Lab Technician:
• Perform routine quality checks for finished chemical products via weight checks, physical inspections, PH testing, and other basic QA tests
• Collect, label, organize, and store product based on company standards
• Prep simple solutions, premixes, and vats used in testing finished products, maintaining proper safety and storage guidelines
• Use laboratory tools such as balances, pH meters, colorimeters, and other specialized equipment for testing purposes
• Record all testing results clearly and accurately in logs, forms, batch records, and electronic systems
• Maintain inventory and ensure proper stock of lab tools, chemicals, and testing supplies
• Support other areas of the lab and production environment as required
Job Requirements for the QC/Lab Technician:
- Must have some experience in either a lab setting, chemical-handling, or other relevant positions.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and ability to read and follow written instructions.
- Strong ability to multitask with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills are a must. The position requires communication with other production personnel, Research and Development, and Quality Controls.
- Must be able to transport up to 40lbs - 50 lbs.
