Job Overview
Our client, a contractor supporting the U.S. Department of Defense, is seeking dependable Production Operators for its manufacturing facility in Westminster, Maryland. This combined role supports press operations and the preparation, stacking, and assembly of precision parts and products. Successful candidates will follow detailed work instructions, maintain quality and safety standards, and complete production documentation accurately.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press machinery in accordance with production schedules and work instructions.
- Process, prepare, sort, dry, organize, stack, and assemble parts based on job requirements, drawings, and specifications.
- Receive parts and materials from the logistics team and verify items for production.
- Operate high-temperature and vacuum ovens, industrial degreasers, and other production equipment as assigned.
- Troubleshoot equipment and adjust machine functions and settings as needed.
- Perform in-process quality inspections to confirm parts and finished products meet required standards.
- Accurately count, sort, and handle delicate components.
- Complete production reports, daily paperwork, and other required documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workstation.
- Communicate process issues or anomalies promptly to leads, supervisors, or engineers.
- Collaborate respectfully with team members to support efficient production and minimize assembly issues.
- Follow all safety, quality, and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to accurately interpret and follow assembly instructions, technical drawings, and production procedures.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness and ability to learn new processes, equipment, and skills.

Work Environment and Safety Requirements
- Ability to remain seated or stationed in one work area for extended periods.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment, which may include masks or respirators, safety goggles, safety shoes, a lab coat, grounding or ESD equipment, and gloves.
- Must be able to meet facial-hair requirements necessary to achieve a proper seal when an N95 respirator is required.
