The Electrician provides electrical and mechanical services with responsibility for identifying repair and/or replacement needs including but not limited to installation, repair, maintenance, and upgrade of electrical systems and equipment
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Apply knowledge of mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electrical systems for the repair, maintenance, and installation of equipment.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance tasks on equipment and facilities as assigned by the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Use basic programmable logic controllers (PLC) for troubleshooting when necessary.
- Follow all practices, policies, and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 standards.
QUALIFICATION:
- Must possess a thorough understanding of electrical voltage, amperage, wiring, and circuitry for common industrial equipment.
- Industrial Automation
- Must be capable of collaborating with vendors to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Must meet the requirements of a Maintenance Mechanic, including experience in all aspects of mechanical repair for production equipment such as gears, valves, hydraulics, and motors.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints to perform tasks accordingly.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and diagnose and resolve equipment failures from cause to correction.
- Requires 5 years of experience in a manufacturing or operations environment.
- Basic knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLC) is necessary. PLC Certification – HUGE PLUS!
- Journeyman or Master Electrician- HUGE PLUS!
- Experience with plastic processing, web handling, and extrusion is advantageous.
