General Warehouse Laborer
Pay: $17.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 3 Months
Opportunity for Permanent Employment
We're seeking dependable and hardworking individuals for a warehouse improvement project. This is a temporary assignment expected to last approximately three months, with the potential for permanent employment for strong performers.
This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, can maintain a strong pace throughout the day, and take pride in working safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
- Move, sort, stage, and organize warehouse materials
- Palletize and depalletize products
- Stretch-wrap and prepare pallets for storage or shipment
- Apply labels, identification tags, and other warehouse markings
- Load, unload, and reposition materials manually
- Use manual pallet jacks and hand dollies to transport materials
- Assist with warehouse organization and facility improvement projects
- Assist with the assembly and installation of industrial storage racks under supervision
- Use basic hand and power tools as directed
- Perform general warehouse housekeeping, including sweeping and debris removal
- Follow all site safety procedures and supervisor instructions
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, material handling, construction, assembly, or general labor experience preferred
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, lifting, and performing physical work throughout the shift
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
Additional Requirements
- Comfortable working from ladders and elevated work platforms
- Comfortable working at heights
- Comfortable wearing required safety equipment, including a harness when needed
- Willingness to work overtime and occasional weekends as project needs require
Preferred Experience
The following experience is a plus:
- Forklift operation
- Reach truck operation
- Order picker operation
- Material handling equipment
- Warehouse improvement or construction projects
Candidates with powered industrial equipment experience may be evaluated and certified on-site before operating equipment.
Work Environment
- Warehouse environment with varying temperatures
- Physically active role requiring frequent movement throughout the day
- Steel-toe boots and required PPE must be worn
