Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00/hour

Production Technician II Job Description:
The Production Technician II is responsible for assembling, wiring, guarding, and troubleshooting machines, equipment, and subassemblies while following engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities Include:
- Perform mechanical assembly, electrical assembly, and machine guarding activities independently.
- Interpret and follow mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, specifications, and work instructions.
- Mentor and assist Production Technician I employees with blueprint and schematic interpretation.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, including:
- Screwdrivers
- Wrenches
- Cordless and corded drills
- Belt sanders
- Precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and scales
- Assist in developing and improving standard operating procedures and work practices.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Production Leads, and Supervisors to identify process improvements and equipment modifications.
- Troubleshoot assembly issues and recommend solutions to improve productivity and product quality.
- Utilize the company's MRP system to verify material availability, interpret parts lists, and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
- Assist with basic fabrication and machining tasks while expanding skills in areas such as:
- TIG Welding
- Machine Shop Operations
- Sheet Metal Fabrication
- Rail Building
- Support machine startup and testing activities as needed.
- Accurately document and maintain production records.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Production Technician II Job Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 3-5 years of related production, assembly, manufacturing, mechanical, or industrial experience.
- Strong blueprint reading experience is required.
- Experience with mechanical assembly is required.
- Candidates with strong mechanical backgrounds may be a great fit.
Technical Skills:
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
- Experience working within manufacturing or production environments.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities.
Physical Requirements:
- Regular standing, walking, reaching, handling materials, and using hand tools.
- Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
- Strong visual acuity, depth perception, and attention to detail.
