Client Intake Coordinator Job Description:
Play a critical role in ensuring a professional, welcoming, and efficient experience for veterans and families seeking assistance through supportive service programs. Serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, callers, and potential program participants while helping facilitate a smooth intake and eligibility screening process.
The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and passionate about helping people navigate services and resources. This individual will be responsible for gathering and documenting client information, coordinating communication with program staff, maintaining organized records, and supporting the day-to-day operations of the office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming calls, visitors, and clients seeking assistance.
- Provide a welcoming, professional, and supportive experience for veterans and their families.
- Conduct initial eligibility screenings and intake assessments for program services.
- Accurately complete and process intake documentation while maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with program managers, case managers, and support staff to facilitate client enrollment and service delivery.
- Manage voicemails, route inquiries, and provide information regarding available services and resources.
- Support office operations, including filing, record management, office organization, and supply tracking.
- Assist with opening and closing office procedures and ensure a professional environment for clients and visitors.
Job Requirements:
Education & Experience- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, intake coordination, front desk operations, administration, or a related role.
- Experience working in a nonprofit, social services, housing, or community-based organization is highly desirable.
