Production Assistant Details:
- Location: Ashland, VA
- Schedule: Monday–Friday | 2PM – 10PM
- Pay Rate: $21.45/hour
- Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Production Assistant Responsibilities:
- Process customer orders on an assembly line with accuracy and efficiency
- Perform light electrical and mechanical assembly of products
- Assemble components of custom light switches, circuits, lighting systems, and window coverings
- Assist in metal shop operations, including cutting and cleaning metal
- Install brackets, bolts, screws, and other hardware onto units
- Perform material handling tasks to support production flow
- Enter inventory transactions accurately into the computer system
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Production Assistant Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous production, assembly, or manufacturing experience preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and remain active throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic computer skills for inventory and data entry
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work well in a team setting
