PeopleShare is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator to support production operations by accurately pulling product lots and ensuring proper material handling. This role plays a critical part in maintaining efficiency, safety, and compliance within a fast-paced environment.
Position: Forklift Operator
Location: Swedesboro, NJ
Pay Rate: $19.25 per hour
Shifts Available:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
- 2nd Shift: 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate with the Shift Supervisor to ensure accurate selection and delivery of product lots for production
- Safely unload 20-foot containers stacked floor-to-ceiling with 55 lb (25 kg) boxes of raw materials
- Transport cardboard from staging areas and operate the baler for proper disposal
- Operate forklifts safely and maintain valid certification
- Perform daily forklift inspections and coordinate maintenance as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the end of each shift
- Follow all safety, food quality, and regulatory standards (GMP, HACCP, OSHA, etc.)
- Complete additional tasks as assigned by leadership
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 5 years of warehouse experience (food production experience preferred)
- Forklift certification required
- Knowledge of food safety standards including GMPs and HACCP
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to operate hand tools and mechanical equipment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends if needed
- Ability to read, write, and understand English
- Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently
- Frequent standing, walking, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- Ability to perform medium to heavy physical labor
Work Environment
- Warehouse/production environment with exposure to temperature changes, noise, dust, and fumes
