Slitter Operator Details:
- Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 10pm-6:15am
- Pay: Starting Rate $20
- Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
- Location: Allentown, PA
Slitter Operator Responsibilities:
- Set up, calibrate, and operate slitting machines according to work orders and production schedules
- Install and adjust blades, spacers, and materials to ensure accurate and efficient machine operation
- Monitor production and perform in-process quality checks using calipers and micrometers to verify width, tension, and edge quality
- Identify and troubleshoot machine issues, clear jams, and correct defects to minimize downtime
- Safely load, unload, and transport large material rolls using forklifts or hoists
- Accurately record production data, update inventory systems, and complete shift documentation
- Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and perform routine preventative maintenance to maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Slitter Operator Requirements:
- Prior manufacturing experience in slitting, laminating, printing, or similar environment preferred
- Strong ability to operate, adjust, and troubleshoot industrial machinery
- Proficiency in basic math and use of measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move up to 50 lbs., and perform repetitive tasks
