PeopleShare, Inc. is actively recruiting a Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) Specialist for a manufacturing client located in Geneva, NY.
This onsite role supports site-level SHE compliance and helps foster a strong safety culture across operations. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in manufacturing environments and a proactive approach to safety leadership.

Employment Type: Full-Time | 100% Onsite
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Pay Rate: $27–$30 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) training requirements; deliver training sessions as needed
- Actively support and participate in the site Emergency Response Team
- Enforce and maintain SHE programs including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Industrial Hygiene, Working at Heights, and Emergency Response
- Promote Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives; monitor participation and report key SHE performance metrics
- Conduct routine SHE compliance inspections and daily safety walks
- Perform hazard assessments for new or modified operations
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; lead root cause analysis efforts
- Develop, implement, and track Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPAs)
- Issue and manage safe work permits; train and monitor contractor compliance
- Support waste management documentation and environmental compliance efforts
- Partner cross-functionally to maintain strong safety standards, housekeeping, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related physical science preferred
- Working knowledge of OSHA, NYS DEC, and EPA regulations
- Experience with incident investigations, risk assessments, and corrective action planning
- Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and promote a positive safety culture across all levels of an organization
