2nd Shift Maintenance Technician (Direct Hire)
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire Position

Shift: 2nd Shift (3:00 PM – 11:15 PM)
Pay: $30–$36 per hour based on experience plus shift differential
We are hiring a skilled 2nd shift maintenance technician for a direct hire opportunity within a manufacturing facility. The ideal 2nd shift maintenance technician will have strong PLC, electrical, and equipment troubleshooting experience.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, including PLC-controlled systems
- Upgrade equipment from relay logic to PLC controls
- Maintain HVAC, compressors, furnaces, lighting, and other plant systems
- Respond to breakdowns and complete preventive maintenance tasks
- Assist with facility and equipment modifications
- Support lean initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement projects
A successful 2nd shift maintenance technician is hands-on, dependable, and focused on minimizing downtime.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of PLC-controlled machinery
- Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC experience required
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and wiring diagrams
- Experience with building and equipment modifications
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- EPA certification preferred, not required
Work Environment
The 2nd shift maintenance technician works primarily indoors in a climate-controlled environment with occasional outdoor work. This role requires walking, bending, climbing, lifting, and operating power and hand tools.
