Salary: $33.45/hour (Approx. $69,576/year)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Overtime: Saturdays as needed
Job Type: Full-Time | 40 hours per week
Job Summary
We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic with direct experience working on dozers, haul trucks, excavators, and similar large machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered heavy equipment in both shop and field environments while following MSHA and company safety standards.
Key Skills & Experience
- Hands-on heavy equipment mechanic experience required
- Dozers, haul trucks, excavators, loaders, and mobile equipment
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, transmissions, brakes, and steering systems
- Ability to inspect, diagnose, repair, and test equipment after completion
- Preventative maintenance experience including lubrication, fueling, oil and filter changes
- Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams
- Comfortable performing field repairs and working outdoors
- Strong safety awareness and compliance with MSHA and company safety rules
Qualifications
- High School or Vocational/Technical School graduate
- Mechanical experience required (heavy equipment experience strongly preferred)
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license required
- Must successfully complete a 60-working-day probationary period
Work Environment
- Combination of field and maintenance shop work
- Exposure to outdoor weather and industrial conditions
- Physical work including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing
