Maintenance Technician – 2nd Shift (Direct Hire)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00pm–11:15pm
Location: Chestertown, MD
Pay: $30–$36/hr (based on experience)

Position Overview
We are seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift to support plant equipment, perform electrical troubleshooting, and assist with facility maintenance. The Maintenance Technician will work with PLC‑controlled machinery, upgrade systems, and handle essential repairs. This role is ideal for a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical and mechanical skills looking to grow within a stable company.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications
- Thorough knowledge of PLC‑controlled machinery
- Electrical maintenance and equipment modification experience
- HMI experience preferred
- Mechanical, electrical, plumbing & HVAC exposure
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to read manuals, diagrams, and instructions
- Valid driver’s license; able to lift 50 lbs
- EPA certification preferred, not required
Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment, focusing on electrical and PLC systems
- Upgrade relay logic to PLC controls
- Maintain the facility’s TPM program
- Service HVAC units, compressors, furnaces, dust collection systems, dehumidifiers, and lighting
- Assist with breakdowns and maintenance work orders
- Support facility modifications and project tasks
- Perform occasional local pickups for materials
Maintenance Technician Work Environment
- Primarily indoor, temperature‑controlled
- Occasional outdoor work (HVAC, compressors, snow removal)
- May require working in confined spaces or elevated areas
- Frequent walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 lbs
