Material Handling / Inventory Control Associate
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:55 AM–4:05 PM
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ
Type: Temp to Hire
Equipment Skills Needed
We are specifically looking for experience beyond a basic sit‑down Crown forklift, including:
Counter‑balance forklifts
Extender / reach‑type forklifts
Material handling equipment used for case‑level movement
Technology & Systems
Candidates should be comfortable working with scanning and tracking technology, including:
WMS systems for inventory movement
MES systems for production‑related tracking
RF scanners and handheld devices
Key Responsibilities
Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials to verify accuracy and quality
Pick, pack, and stage orders according to production or shipment requirements
Transport materials using forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or other equipment
Maintain accurate inventory records through scanning, labeling, and documentation
Replenish stock to ensure materials are available for production teams
Organize and maintain warehouse areas to support efficiency and safety
Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times
Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Experience in warehouse or material handling roles preferred
Ability to operate material‑handling equipment (forklift certification is a plus)
Basic computer or scanner proficiency for inventory tracking
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to lift and move materials up to company‑specified weight limits
Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast‑paced environment
Work Environment
Warehouse or production setting with varying temperatures
Standing, walking, lifting, and equipment operation throughout the shift
Team‑oriented environment with collaboration across departments
