Title: Quality Control Inspector
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054
Type: 4 month contract-to-hire
Pay: $24/hr
Schedule: 3rd shift - Monday-Friday, 11:55 PM - 8:05 AM
Responsibilities
- Complete Internal audits as scheduled.
- Tasks performed in the Lab.
- Verify 1st Shot approvals at job startup
- Follow SPC for dimensional, visual and color specifications as required.
- Follow QA-115 Moisture Analyzer procedure
- Keep retains neat and organized
- Keep Lab and equipment as clean as possible.
- Perform incoming inspections
- New Inspector/Packer training (general overview of our quality department)
- Give Inspector/Packer quiz as needed and issue an inspection stamp.
- Train Inspector/Packer as required per work instructions/assembly instructions.
- Observe Inspector/Packer that they are following work instructions, working at a steady rate, paying close attention to detail.
- Check that work instructions are accurate, update as necessary.
- Visually inspect all product being produced and assembled (spend a lot of time doing this).
- Inspect packaging for the following: Inspector/Packer stamp is present, Labeling is straight and neat, Taping is straight and neat, Packaging has no tears, holes etc. Only then can you mark with your Process Auditor Stamp. Make sure packaging is straight and neat on pallet.
- Mark approved finished goods with the “quality stamp of approval” before they move to FG Stage
- Verify all scales are counting properly and complete QA-509 log, once per shift.
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of one-year manufacturing experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of injection molding or ASQ certification is a plus.
- Language Skills: Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to all employees of the organization. Ability to comprehend and comply with written and verbal procedures, instructions, and assignments. Ability to deal with situations involving several variables in standard manufacturing conditions. Ability to actively participate in group problem solving activities.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use ratios and percent. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
