PeopleShare is seeking an experienced and motivated 1st Shift Packer to join a leading manufacturing team in Chestertown, MD. If you enjoy hands-on work, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and want long-term growth, this 1st Shift Packer role is perfect for you!
We are searching for a reliable and detail-oriented 1st Shift Packer Monday-Friday 7:30am-3:!5pm starting pay $16/hr to support daily shipping and fulfillment operations. This position is located in Chestertown, MD and offers long-term stability with excellent growth opportunities.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities for 1st Shift Packer:
Order Fulfillment & Picking: Accurately pick and scan parts to fulfill customer orders with correct quantities and part numbers.
Packing & Shipping: Prepare and package orders using carrier software, mailing equipment, and hazardous materials guidelines.
Assembly Line Operations: Perform packing line tasks, including box assembly, labeling, carton closing, and hazard markings.
Warehouse Support: Assist with pallet wrapping, cutting packing materials, and operating pallet jacks while supporting various production teams.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in lean initiatives, suggest improvements, and maintain a safe and organized environment.
Skills & Requirements for 1st Shift Packer:
Basic math and reading comprehension; ability to follow written procedures.
Experience in shipping, warehouse, or order fulfillment preferred.
Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending and standing.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills; color perception required.
Basic computer experience, especially with shipping or manifest software.
Work Environment for 1st Shift Packer:
Clean, temperature-controlled warehouse
Must be able to meet physical and mental job demands while following safety policies.
