Chemical Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with HSE, Quality, and Maintenance teams to maintain a safe, compliant, and reliable production environment.
- Develop and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency, safety, and regulatory compliance (e.g., EPA, OSHA, DEP).
- Analyze process data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify gaps and implement corrective actions to improve production and ensure product quality.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to enhance quality and reduce operational costs.
- Design, develop, and optimize chemical processes for both new and existing products.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams through product and process development phases, including validation, scale-up, commissioning, and implementation.
- Prepare and deliver technical reports, proposals, and project updates to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- 5–10 years of experience in chemical process engineering or production, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading projects and teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of chemical process principles, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience implementing Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks is highly desirable.
