Job Details for: Maintenance Tech
- Schedule: Training on 1st shift 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. but could move to 2nd shift
- Pay Rate: $24.00-$25.00
Job Responsibilities & Description for: Maintenance Tech
- Dismantles, moves, installs, or repairs machinery and mechanical equipment
- Examines machinery or mechanical equipment; identifies reasons for malfunction and completes repairs and/or maintenance.
- Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain production and ancillary equipment.
- Cleans plant facilities, equipment, and work areas as required.
- Installs new equipment and systems. Repairs and maintains current equipment and systems as needed.
- Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Follows established safety and environmental policies and procedures, and promotes continuous improvement of safety and environmental performance in the work place.
- Performs special program tasks, such as annual and semi-annual PM’s.
- Assists with training and instruction for production related equipment to operators.
- Participates in Kaizen Events such as 5’s, set-up reduction and TPM.
- All employees are responsible for reporting food safety issues to those who can initiate corrective actions.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements for: Maintenance Tech
- Strong Mechanical Skills- (advanced training helpful).
- Problem Solving Skills- identifies and resolves in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in a group solving situations.
- Technical Skills- strives to continuously build knowledge and skills, shares expertise with others, pursues training and development opportunities.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Reasoning Skills- ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in situations.
- Electrical Trouble - shooting skills (advance training helpful, industrial electricity).
- Basic machine shop and welding.
- Good communication skills.
- Must have good math skills.
- Must have good organizational skills.
- Must have an excellent attendance record.
