We are seeking experienced Encapsulation/Compression Operators to join a growing pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This position is responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting tablet press and encapsulation machinery in a GMP-regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with pharmaceutical tablet or capsule production and a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:00am 3:30pm at $25/hr
Location: Cranbury, NJ area
Start time: ASAP, Temp to Hire.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Operation:
Set up, operate, and monitor tablet press or encapsulation machines to meet production standards for quality and output.
Adjust machine settings to ensure proper compression and adherence to batch specifications.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly to reduce downtime.
Quality Control:
Conduct in-process inspections for weight, hardness, thickness, and appearance.
Accurately record production data and report deviations or quality concerns promptly.
Compliance:
Follow all GMP and SOP procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
Maintain a clean and organized work area that meets safety and hygiene standards.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Quality Assurance and other departments to ensure all products meet internal and external standards.
Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth workflow.
Qualifications
Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a tablet press or encapsulation operator in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (required).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of GMP regulations and production documentation practices.
Skills: Mechanical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot independently.
Communication: Proficiency in English (both written and verbal).
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in machine operation is a plus.
