CNC Machinist – 4th Shift
Location: York, PA 17402
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $35.00 per hour
Schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday | 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (4th Shift)
A growing precision manufacturing facility in York, PA is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist for their 4th shift. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist who thrives in a fast-paced, high-quality environment and is looking for long-term potential.
CNC Machinist Responsibilities:
Set up and operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers with minimal supervision
Read and interpret engineering drawings, including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Perform manual G and M code edits as needed
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and other precision tools to maintain tolerances as close as 0.0005"
Work with a variety of materials such as stainless steel, Monel, Hastelloy, cast iron, carbon steel, aluminum, bronze, and plastics
Operate multiple machines when required
Follow preventative maintenance procedures and maintain a clean, safe workspace
Collaborate with CNC Programmers and Supervisors to improve processes and tooling
Document inspection results and daily activities per company procedures
CNC Machinist Qualifications:
Proven experience in CNC mill setup and operation (vertical and horizontal)
Strong understanding of machining practices and material properties
Familiarity with G&M code programming and editing
Ability to read technical drawings and apply GD&T principles
Must be able to wear steel-toe boots and safety glasses at all times
Mastercam programming experience
Experience with CNC lathes or vertical turret lathes (VTL)
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
