Certified Surgical Technologist Job Details:
- Schedule: Part Time – Monday-Friday 9a-5p
- Half Days on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Pay Rate:$25-$30/hr.

Certified Surgical Technologist Job Description:
- Ensures all supplies and instruments are sterile and available
- Sterilizes any instruments for operative case, maintaining sterility at all times
- Performs a surgical scrub, dons sterile attire, and provides sterile instruments and other items to the surgical team during procedure
- At conclusion of case, assists with dressing application and then places all used instruments in bacterial solution
- Thoroughly cleans operating room including all surfaces including tables, OR chair, and floor
- Opens supplies needed for next procedure
- Performs counts of sponges and sharps with circulating nurse pre-op, at skin closure, and when items are added to the field
- Handles all instruments with care and inspects to ensure they are clean and in proper working condition
Certified Surgical Technologist Job Requirements:
- Certified required
- Demonstrates tact and sensitivity when communicating with patients
- Communicates effectively with team members to coordinate delivery of patient care
- Maintains confidentiality of patient and Institute business
- Provides privacy for the patient and family
- Recognizes limitations and seeks help from appropriate sources
- Suggests methods to improve quality of care delivered at the Institute
- Able to handle stress and stressful situations
- Experience in the plastic surgery field helpful.
