As a Forklift Operator on our 2nd shift, you'll play a key role in the flow of materials in and out of our cold storage and production areas. If you're safety-minded, detail-oriented, and a reliable team player, we’d love to have you on board.
Shift: 2nd Shift | Hours: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (some OT/weekends as needed)
Location:Elk Gorve Village, IL
Pay:$19.00
The forklift operator will be working on:
• Docks:
o Loading onto trailers with a forklift, walkie-rider, or hand-jack as the task requires to use.
o Picking orders from all 3 Warehouse zones – Dry Warehouse, Cooler, and Freezer.
o Unloading from trailers with a forklift, walkie-rider, or hand-jack as the task requires to use.
o Putting away into all 3 Warehouse zones - Dry Warehouse, Cooler, and Freezer.
o Housekeeping in all 3 Warehouse zones during and before closing of the shift.
o Sorting of tomato paste crates.
o Sorting of GMA pallets
• Supplying the line:
o Bringing materials to the line and staging in their zones. This will entitle to pick from the Dry Warehouse, Cooler, Freezer, and a drop trailer.
o Putting away the Finished Goods into a bin location in the freezer.
• Computer data entry:
o Searching items.
o Reclassing items to staging area and between bin locations.
o Printing picklists.
o Much more as time goes by.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous forklift experience required; certification a plus
Experience working in food manufacturing or cold storage a bonus
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
Team-oriented with good communication skills
Willingness to work in cold or frozen environments
