Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Responsibilities
Perform Routine Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance to ensure machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, and automated system issues to minimize downtime.
Ensure Safety and Compliance: Adhere to food safety standards and workplace safety protocols during all maintenance activities.
Implement Preventive Maintenance: Follow and manage a preventive maintenance schedule to reduce equipment breakdowns.
Collaborate with Production Teams: Work with production staff to identify issues and improve processes, ensuring minimal disruptions.
Manage Spare Parts and Inventory: Maintain an organized inventory of parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance tasks.
Document Maintenance Activities: Accurately track and record maintenance tasks, repairs, and parts used in the system.
Respond to Emergency Repairs: Address urgent maintenance needs promptly to prevent production delays or shutdowns.
Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
- Four years of experience in the field of cold refrigeration maintenance or in a related area.
- Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Food Safety Standards
- Preventative Maintenance Experience
- Certification or accreditation in one or more of the following disciplines: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, machine, welding and or vehicle servicing
