Survey Party Chief Job Description:
- Lead a survey crew in fieldwork, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Perform boundary, topographic, construction, and control surveys.
- Operate and maintain survey instruments, including GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
- Interpret engineering and survey plans, maps, and legal descriptions.
- Communicate with project managers, clients, and team members to ensure project success.
- Ensure field data is collected, processed, and delivered accurately and on time.
- Maintain safety standards and compliance with industry regulations.
Survey Party Chief Job Requirements:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in land surveying, with leadership experience preferred.
- Proficiency in operating survey instruments (GPS, robotic total stations, levels, etc.).
- Strong understanding of boundary laws, construction layouts, and topographic surveys.
- Experience with surveying software such asAutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, etc.
- Ability to lead and mentor crew members.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
