- Maintain proper inventories by placing purchase orders and transfers in a timely fashion
- Expedite or de-expedite materials proactively to respond to changes in demand
- Analyze vendor performance KPI and communicate corrective actions
- Process returns to vendors
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory control policies and procedures
- Keep pricing up to date in purchasing price book and keep price change report updated
Buyer Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business/Logistics with experience in material planning and purchasing
- Experience with an ERP utilizing MRP
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- High level of math and analytical skills
- Good negotiation skills
