Now Hiring: People Partner, Payroll & Retirement Consultant (Part Time)

Overview:
As a consultant, you will serve as the main point of contact for a handful of

clients, possibly interacting directly with other People partners, internal HR contact, and/or

members of the finance team. Similar titles that might be good fits for this role are Payroll

Specialist, Payroll Manager, Payroll and Benefits Specialist.

What you’ll do:

Be the go-to payroll and retirement expert for clients, assisting employees with paycheck, tax, and 401(k) questions.
Oversee payroll compliance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Resolve payroll discrepancies, research tax laws, and collaborate with benefits providers.
Implement new payroll systems and improve workflows.
Conduct payroll audits and ensure multi-state tax compliance.
Manage offboarding payroll tasks, including final paychecks and retirement rollovers.
Participate in 1-3 client meetings per week.

What we’re looking for:

3+ years of payroll processing and retirement benefits experience.
Expertise in multi-state payroll, tax compliance, and HRIS platforms.
Strong knowledge of ERISA, FLSA, ACA, IRS regulations, and payroll best practices.
Detail-oriented with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A client-service mindset—you're passionate about helping employees navigate payroll and benefits.
Preferred certifications: CPP, FPC, or CEBS (not required but a plus!)
