Position Overview:

We’re looking for an Accountant Coordinator to join our finance team! Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role leads accounts payable and supports financial planning & analysis functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to contribute to a mission-driven, community-focused organization.

Accountant Coordinator Job Details:

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM
Pay Rate: $65,000/year

Accountant Coordinator Job Description:

Accounts Payable – Oversee the full payables process, including vendor invoices, reimbursements, and reconciliations.
Banking & Credit Cards – Monitor accounts, manage cash flow, and ensure timely processing.
Accounting Functions – Assist with monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting to maintain financial accuracy.
Compliance & Reporting – Provide necessary financial information to banking institutions.
Cross-Department Support – Process journal entries, assist with special projects, and serve as a backup for key financial functions.
Organizational Involvement – Participate in training, professional development, and DEI initiatives.

Accountant Coordinator Job Requirements:

3–5 years of experience in accounts payable
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with Microsoft C.E, Business Central, or Great Plains
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting OR HS diploma/GED with relevant experience
Strong attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills

Accountant Coordinator Desired Experience:

Experience in nonprofits or mission-driven work
