We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Printer Lab Operatorto join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing efficient operations support in areas such as high-volume duplicating, document imaging, mail management, and customer equipment maintenance. As a key member of our on-site team, you will deliver exceptional customer service, assist with various administrative tasks, and ensure smooth daily operations.

Position Summary
- Join a fast-paced development and test lab environment as a Printer Lab Operator.
- Operate and maintain high-speed digital printers while managing lab supplies.
- Assist engineers and technicians with test setups, configurations, and maintenance.
- Ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate high-speed digital printers using ink-jet technology and associated pre- and post-processing equipment.
- Perform routine operator tasks, such as:
- Paper loading/unloading.
- Ink cartridge replenishment.
- Preventive maintenance and cleaning.
- Handle large paper rolls using pallet jacks and load/unload them from equipment.
- Manage waste ink collection, including organizing bins and drums for vendor pickup.
- Receive deliveries of ink, paper, parts, and supplies; record transactions and stage items for storage or use.
- Set up and run printer jobs for engineers and technicians, ensuring high-quality output.
- Assist with simple printer repairs and troubleshooting.
- Operate end-processing equipment on printed rolls.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, organize workspaces, and perform general lab upkeep.
- Support lab configurations, equipment moves, and test environment setups.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on complex maintenance and setups.
- Train other operators on lab procedures and equipment operations as needed.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by recycling used supplies and conducting safety inspections.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Mechanically inclined, with the ability to handle maintenance activities on large commercial printing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Capability to follow procedures, verbal instructions, and defined processes accurately.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Experience operating or maintaining digital production printer hardware and control units.
- Familiarity with inventory management and basic repair of technical equipment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to interact and collaborate effectively with peers to resolve technical issues.
