Do you enjoy working with your hands, staying organized, solving mechanical challenges, and being an important part of a manufacturing team? If so, PeopleShare is looking for a Tooling Technician to join our growing operation!
In this role, you'll be the behind-the-scenes expert responsible for maintaining, organizing, inspecting, and preparing the tooling that keeps production running efficiently. From handling dies and rods to learning precision measurement techniques, you'll play a critical role in supporting manufacturing operations while developing valuable technical skills along the way.
What You'll Be Doing
🔹 Organizing and maintaining die cages and rod storage areas
🔹 Locating, staging, issuing, and returning tooling for production jobs
🔹 Inspecting dies, rods, plugs, and tooling for wear, cleanliness, and readiness
🔹 Using hand tools and manual equipment to clean, straighten, adjust, and perform minor repairs
🔹 Learning how to accurately measure tooling using a micrometer and other precision instruments
🔹 Supporting production teams by ensuring tooling is ready when needed
🔹 Identifying damaged or out-of-spec tooling and communicating concerns promptly
🔹 Maintaining accurate records and tooling identification systems
🔹 Following all safety, quality, and operational procedures
🔹 Helping maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment
What We're Looking For
✅ Manufacturing, machine shop, production, or tooling experience required
✅ Strong attention to detail
✅ Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
✅ Ability to use hand tools and perform hands-on work
✅ Organizational skills and the ability to keep materials properly arranged
✅ Dependable work ethic and ability to work independently
✅ Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
✅ Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
