PeopleShare is seeking a Prior Authorization Specialist to work for a growing Global Mental Health and Technology Leader in King of Prussia, PA.
Job Details of the Prior Authorization Specialist:
- Pay Rate: $18-20/hour
- Hours: Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM
- Full-Time: Temp to Perm
- Remote
Selling Points of the Prior Authorization Specialist:
- Benefits (dental, medical and vision) offered first date of FTE.
- 401K available after 90 days, matching after 1 year.

- Verify and understand insurance coverage information and update appropriately.
- Utilize eligibility systems to verify coverage, such as eligibility and payor platform portals or
- directly contacting payors.
- Revise insurance information for required updates on existing patients.
- Call, fax, or enter via a patient portal information needed for prior authorization.
- Routinely discuss financial obligations with patients and/or providers
- Assist with answering billing and benefits related questions..
- Resolve claim rejections.
- Denial management and claim follow up including submitting appeals
Job Requirements of the Prior Authorization Specialist:
- one year of prior authorization or medical billing experience
- effective communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
- Proven multi-tasking and project planning skills
Understanding of the difference between Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial insurance plans in relation to billing and reimbursement
