Warehouse Carpenter – $23–$24/hr (Roselle, IL | 1st Shift)

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Carpenter to join our Roselle team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in carpentry, framing, construction, or woodworking, and who are comfortable using power tools such as drills, saws, and nail guns.
You will build custom pallets and crates, support outbound shipping, and assist with picking and packing as needed.
Pay & Schedule
Pay: $23–$24/hr
Shift: 1st shift
Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm
Days: Monday–Friday
PPE: Steel‑toed boots required; all other PPE provided on site
Key Responsibilities
Crate & pallet construction — Build wooden crates, pallets, and boxes using hand and power tools
Woodworking tasks — Cut, assemble, and reinforce lumber for custom shipments
Shipping preparation — Pack machinery, strapping heads, and large/odd‑shaped products
Order verification — Read shipping notices and inspect items before shipment
Forklift operation — Move large machines throughout the warehouse (training provided)
Material inventory — Track lumber, pallets, and building supplies
Freight preparation — Provide accurate dimensions and weights for LTL and truckload orders
Warehouse support — Load/unload freight, consolidate orders, maintain a clean workspace
Safety compliance — Follow all company policies and safety procedures
Qualifications
2–3 years of experience in carpentry, construction, crating, or similar
Strong experience with power tools (drill, saw, nail/staple gun)
Ability to build custom crates and pallets
Previous forklift experience preferred; ability to certify after training required
Basic computer skills; familiarity with UPS/FedEx/DHL shipping systems a plus
Experience with ERP systems (Navision a plus)
Education
High school diploma or equivalent
