Human Resources Manager – Day Shift

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to plan, direct, and administer all aspects of human resources activities. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with employment laws, fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting leadership, and driving employee development initiatives. The Human Resources Manager will perform duties personally and through coordination with management and external partners.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures
- Manage full-cycle recruitment, interviewing, testing, and selection of qualified candidates
- Plan and conduct new employee orientation programs to promote engagement and company values
- Administer employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, life, disability, 401(k), and leave programs
- Act as the 401(k) plan fiduciary and coordinate completion of the annual Form 5500
- Maintain accurate employee records related to benefits, personnel transactions, and government reporting
- Coordinate and support management training on interviewing, hiring, promotions, terminations, performance reviews, and harassment prevention
- Investigate employee relations issues and complaints; partner with legal counsel when necessary
- Advise management on appropriate resolution of employee relations matters
- Administer performance evaluation and salary administration programs to ensure fairness and compliance
- Conduct wage and salary surveys to maintain competitive compensation practices
- Prepare and manage the Human Resources department budget
- Conduct exit interviews and prepare separation documentation
- Analyze and recommend initiatives to reduce absenteeism and turnover
- Represent the company during personnel-related investigations and hearings
- Partner with external vendors for employee services and benefits administration
- Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with senior leadership
- Support and implement organizational communication plans
- Lead employee training and development initiatives
- Partner with senior leadership on succession planning, leadership development, and career development programs
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 5–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional certification preferred (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR)
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR best practices
- Proven ability to partner with leadership and manage sensitive employee matters
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
