Order Processing Coordinator
Location: DeKalb, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm
Pay: $23–$26/hr | Temp-to-Hire
About the Role
A manufacturing company in DeKalb is looking for an Order Processing Coordinator to handle customer communication, order entry, and coordination with the warehouse team.
What You’ll Do
Enter, review, and maintain customer purchase orders in the ERP system with high accuracy
Maintain the shipping calendar and update ETAs for all open orders
Track inbound and outbound shipments to prevent delays
Communicate with suppliers, warehouse teams, and internal departments to resolve issues quickly
Create production orders, manage material transfers, and ensure inventory lots are ready for invoicing
Participate in daily/weekly team meetings to review open orders
Provide administrative and backup support to the purchasing team
Requirements
1–3 years of office admin experience
Customer service experience (phone + email)
QuickBooks required
Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills
Experience with purchase orders or order tracking
Strong communication and follow‑up skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment
