3rd Shift Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic III
Location: Geneva, NY
Shift: Overnight 3rd Shift
Schedule: 12‑hour 2‑2‑3 rotation
Training: Approximately 2 months on day shift before transitioning to nights
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: $32–$40/hr (up to $42/hr for the right candidate)
- Night Shift Differential: $2.25/hr
- Sign‑On Bonus: $7,500

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Maintenance Mechanic III to support high‑volume Aerosol and Hair Care packaging operations. This role focuses on advanced mechanical and electromechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and root‑cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain packaging and support equipment
- Perform line changeovers, setups, and mechanical adjustments
- Troubleshoot equipment downtime using root‑cause analysis
- Perform preventative maintenance and identify improvement opportunities
- Utilize CMMS and MES data to solve mechanical and electrical issues
- Assist Engineering with equipment installations and line modifications
- Rebuild equipment components and fabricate parts as needed
- Support production teams with process‑related issues
- Train and mentor team members on basic maintenance tasks
- Operate forklifts to move equipment and materials
- Follow all safety and OSHA requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 7+ years of maintenance mechanic experience in manufacturing
- 3+ years of electromechanical troubleshooting experience
- Strong mechanical background preferred
- Experience with:
- Pneumatics and hydraulics
- Bearings, shafts, and gearboxes
- AC/DC motors, starters, contactors
- Three‑phase power and PLCs
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and problem‑solving skills
- Stable work history required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food or consumer packaged goods manufacturing
- Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or related field
- Mechanical or electrical apprenticeship or military technical training
- Influencer or trainer mindset within skilled trades
- Welding, machine shop, or fabrication experience
