Materials Planning Support Job Description:
- Determines the resources necessary to ensure an uninterrupted supply to support production and sales.
- Ensures that materials are cost-effective.
- Assists in determining and ensuring the quality of materials.
- Monitors inventory levels and coordinates with purchasing to maintain adequate levels of parts and raw materials to manufacture the product.
- Works to resolve materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.
- Finds new suppliers when needed; monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
Materials Planning Support Job Requirements:
-High school diploma or equivalent and may require some
related vocational training.
- Duties and tasks are standardized and routine.
- Acquires skills in adapting procedures, techniques, and/or equipment to meet job requirements in area of specialization.
