Production Technician I
Location: Vandalia, IL
Pay: $17/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Production Technician I to join our team. This role is responsible for accurately preparing customer orders—including On Demand, Conversions, and project-based orders—by pouring the correct product into the correct container and ensuring all materials meet quality and safety standards. This is a hands‑on role in a fast‑paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pull required materials, bottles, and lids for each order
Request audits to verify correct materials before pouring
Pour the correct amount of product into designated containers for shipment
Reclose and return bulk containers when not fully emptied
Label poured products with correct lot numbers or apply proper container/lid labels
Maintain clean and safe work areas, tools, and equipment
Track usage and report any product damage
Inspect products for defects and report issues to management or inventory team
Assist coworkers as needed
Wear required PPE for each order
Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
Familiarity with Food Safety and Defense / HAACP preferred
Experience using tools such as barrel wrenches, pallet jacks, and mixing tools preferred
Work Environment
This role operates in a warehouse/production setting with exposure to:
Dust, shavings, odors, and fumes
Temperature and noise fluctuations
Vibrations from equipment
You will routinely work around forklifts, overhead cranes, and standard office equipment.
Physical Requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
Ability to see depth, distance, and peripheral movement
Ability to hear and respond to normal speaking levels and surrounding equipment
Frequent use of hands and fingers for grasping and handling
Regular standing, walking, reaching, and lifting throughout the shift
Ability to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 100 lbs
Ability to bend, crawl, crouch, kneel, climb, and balance as needed
