Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054
Schedule: 1st shift - Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Duration: 4 month temp-to-hire
Pay: $21-26.50/hr (depending on experience)
Responsibilities
The Maintenance Technician plans, coordinates and carries out schedule of preventive maintenance for equipment, machinery, tools, and buildings by performing the following duties:
- Repairs and maintains machinery equipment such as injection molding machines, motors, tools, conveyors and grinding systems.
- Reviews manufacturers’ service manuals, maintenance schedules, and records of maintenance problems to determine optimum frequency of preventive maintenance.
- Studies production and operation schedules and confers with other staff to determine when planned maintenance will least interfere with operation of establishment.
- Estimate labor hours, parts, and supplies to be used during scheduled maintenance.
- Maintains records of planned and completed maintenance on all company assets individually.
- Assists in development and coordination of plans for reconstruction or installation of new equipment, machinery, or buildings.
- Initiates purchase orders for replacement parts and supplies.
- Works to continuously improve skills and capabilities relating to Maintenance techniques.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Minimum of Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college of technical school; or four years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Other Skills & Abilities: Must maintain valid forklift driver's license.

Physical Demands

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
