Job Details for Back-Up Shift Lead – 3rd Shift:
Location: Charlotte, NC
Pay Rate: $21–$25/hr (based on experience), paid weekly
Schedule: 3rd Shift, Monday – Friday, 7pm – 11am
Job Responsibilities for Back-Up Shift Lead – 3rd Shift:
Step in for the primary Shift Leader as needed to oversee all shift operations
Lead, support, and motivate a team of up to 30 production employees
Maintain high standards of safety, product quality, and production efficiency
Implement and execute daily production schedules accurately and on time
Conduct First Piece and in-process inspections to ensure quality compliance
Identify and resolve workflow bottlenecks or production challenges proactively
Train, coach, and develop team members to meet performance goals
Ensure timely distribution of materials, tools, and work orders to production lines
Collaborate with management on shift progress, performance, and improvement initiatives
Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives across the shift
Job Requirements for Back-Up Shift Lead – 3rd Shift:
Minimum 2 years of supervisory or shift lead experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of production operations; plastics manufacturing experience is a plus
High school diploma or equivalent required (technical training or certifications preferred)
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and safety management skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities with a hands-on leadership style
