We are seeking a Plant Manager who will oversee all daily operations at the manufacturing facility to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of this companies products. This leadership role involves managing the production team, maintaining quality standards, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies. Monday- Friday, Normal Business hours, $120-$135k
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and environmental standards (e.g., FDA, SQF, GMP).
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
Manage, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
Collaborate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries.
Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and present results to senior management.
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of plant management experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably snacks or baked goods.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP) and regulatory compliance.
Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety and quality.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
