Job Summary
Responsible for performing general building maintenance and repair activities at Uline’s Corporate Office and other locations as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on drywall, painting, doors, locks, and restrooms.
- Install, reconfigure, and repair modular workstations and office setups.
- Support corporate event setup and teardown.
- Install interior artwork throughout corporate facilities.
- Complete facilities-related tasks at corporate offices, branch locations, and off-site facilities.
- Provide assistance and back-up support to other departments within the Facilities team as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned that are reasonably related to the responsibilities listed above.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED – Required
Certifications/Licenses
- Valid driver’s license – Preferred
Experience
3–5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial office furniture installation (modular and/or case goods)
- Lighting maintenance
- Plumbing
- Painting
- Rough or finish carpentry
- Event setup and support
Skills and Competencies
- Floor and tile installation
- Proficiency with hand and power tools
- Understanding of OSHA-required PPE and bloodborne pathogens
- Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability
- Reliable and consistent attendance
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Lifting Requirements
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 70 lbs occasionally (30–60%).
Vision Requirements
- Close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus are necessary.
Work Environment
- Typically, moderate noise levels in office areas.
- Higher noise levels may occur in warehouse or event spaces.
Physical Activities
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Use of hands and fingers to handle tools and materials
- Ability to talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms
- Occasional driving of company vehicles
- May work near warehouse equipment and machinery
