Accounting Assistant Job Description:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial and HR records, both digital and physical
- Enter and manage financial data in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
- Process trade invoices, payments, expense reports, and inventory invoices
- Reconcile accounts, including bank statements and general ledger entries
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks
- Support month-end and year-end accounting processes as needed
- Assist with general bookkeeping and administrative tasks as required
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations
Accounting Assistant Ideal Requirements:
- Experience with QuickBooks (desktop preferred) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles, including debits, credits, and ledgers
- Good data entry skills and attention to detail
- Time management and organizational skills to handle multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills to work effectively with team members
- Previous experience in bookkeeping, accounting support, or related financial role preferred
