PeopleShare has an opening for a Tooling Manager with a client in Mt. Laurel, NJ. Candidates must have 2-3 years of previous plastic injection molding experience to be considered.

Overview:
Performs all relevant duties to provide production-ready molds and tooling to machine work cells in a safe and timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Works from schedule, oral and written instructions. View and or read and fully understand all training devices as they are made available.
- Cleans, maintains and stores existing molds in a safe and orderly manner. Changes configurations of molds as required.
- Inspects and trouble-shoots molds, in conjunction with processing personnel, to determine any necessary modifications, improvements and or repairs.
- Performs basic machining services needed in repairing or modifying molds, jigs, fixtures, equipment, etc.
- Obtains quotes from Vendors and submits Purchase Orders upon approval.
- Interacts/communicates with mold makers, both locally and globally, any required information or concerns involved in new or existing tooling projects.
- Documents and records all mold maintenance, modifications, repairs, and improvements in Company database.
- Responsible for safety and maintenance of all Company and customer assets. Reports any unsafe action or equipment to management.
- Provides support to all Company divisions to resolve issues and enhance capabilities of the Company.
- Drives continuous improvement in division performance, organization, and housekeeping.
- Actively participates and contributes to Company improvement initiatives such as ISO registration and maintenance, 5-S, asset and budget planning, cross-training of co-workers.
- Interacts with Customers and Vendors as needed in a professional, courteous, and respectful manner. Provides Management with periodic project and division performance and improvement updates.
Requirements:

- Education: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or two years molding or manufacturing experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Language Skills: Ability to perform basic shop math, simple trigonometry, ability to read measurement tools, micrometers, dial calipers, etc.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to identify and solve practical problems dealing with a variety of variables insituations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a varirty of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Other Skills and Abilities: Employee must maintain valid forklift driver's license. Ability to use CAD software programs such as SolidWorks.
