The Plant Manager will oversee all daily operations at the manufacturing facility to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production of this companies products. This leadership role involves managing the production team, maintaining quality standards, optimizing processes, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.
Monday- Friday, Normal Business hours, $120-$135k
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all plant operations including production, maintenance, quality control, and safety.
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while maximizing efficiency and minimizing waste.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety, regulatory, and environmental standards (e.g., FDA, SQF, GMP).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and improve product quality.
- Manage, mentor, and develop plant staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety.
- Collaborate closely with supply chain, quality assurance, and sales teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time deliveries.
- Oversee equipment maintenance and troubleshoot operational issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production reports, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and present results to senior management.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work environment adhering to company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of plant management experience in the food manufacturing industry, preferably snacks or baked goods.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP) and regulatory compliance.
- Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on safety and quality.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience implementing lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
