Job Description for Purchasing Manager:
- Oversee and direct purchasing operations, policies, and procedures.
- Negotiate with vendors to secure competitive pricing and service.
- Some travel may be required to visit vendors/suppliers.
- Manage a large raw material supply chain in collaboration with global purchasing.
- Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers to meet quality, cost, and CSR standards.
- Maintain supplier contracts, agreements, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, ethics, and corporate governance.
Key Qualifications for Purchasing Manager:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management.
- Experience with global procurement, logistics, and vendor management.
- Strong knowledge of ISO and IATF standards; automotive industry experience a plus.
- Knowledge of corporate purchasing policies and compliance requirements.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
